Michelle Devins is the the contract trainer for the Jefferson County Library Cooperative in Jefferson County, AL. She was the presenter at our August LAIII meeting. Michelle demonstrated kid friendly websites. She also distributed a handout of

Kid Friendly Databases and Quick Guide. Some of the websites she demonstrated are: Web Junction Alabama, Britannica Learning Zone, Compton’s by Britannica’s Middle School and other database features. Most of her handouts can be found on her blog .

Handouts from the 2006 ALA Convention in New Orleans

These handouts are from the New Orleans American Library Association Convention 2006. At the November meeting we discussed updating the 1994 staff manual. These handouts might give us a few ideals.
