Richard Manosky presented Digital Photography.  He begin with a video presentation and followed with information required to take digital pictures and how to upload them from your camera.

Richard gave pointers on taking photos with digital cameras.  These pointers included: use the rule of thirds (tic tac toe); adding interest, leading lines, frames, color/angle and when taking pictures of a crowd, focus on one or two people with expressions on their faces, take mutiple shoots, hold still or brace yourself against stationery objects and remember to keep your manual with you.

When downloading your pictures to Flickr, find the port on the camera, use the USB cable, choose microsoft scanner & camera wizard, identify camera you're using, , identify what picture(s) to download by placing a check mark in the box, once it has finished downloading, then upload to Flickr.  Remember to name, date and put your location in your picture(s).

Richard also gave a handout on his presentation, Taking Photos with a Digital Camera.

We were then entertained by the author, Carole Boston Weatherford and students from North Birmingham Elementary School.  Mrs. Weatherford performed poetry and music from a few of her books.  The students helped along  by performing with instruments and song.  Everyone had a great time.
